CHA - part 8

I will have another blog candy challenge when I get 100 followers!

We've been talking a little bit about the Crafter's Companion scor board on one of the yahoo groups lately. Below are pics from the Crafter's Companion workshop and learning different cards and boxes for our projects. Actually, I ALMOST did not go to this workshop because I thought to myself "I already know how to make cards, and I have the TBBM cricut cart." But then I figured I had nothing better to do at 7 AM on a Friday morning at CHA while Kim was in the Tim Holtz class so why not? I did learn a few things and everyone left with a Crafter's Companion kit (it's ok), sanding tool (I have Tim's), dust cloth (love it!) and tape runner (don't love that one so much).

While we did not make the items shown in the photos below, these are examples of the projects they made using their product with the Core'dinations paper. I recently got in the embossed Core'dinations paper in my store and there is more on the way whenever it gets off of backorder, lol! Of the 20 styles I ordered, 15 came in. Enjoy!:

CHA - part 7

We are on a mission! If you are not yet following me yet, click here to find out why you should follow this blog and read about my blog challenge. We will have another blog candy give away when we reach 100 followers. It will include a Cricut cartridge.

Below are more pics from the CHA show. I got inspired just walking around, seeing how other companies and the design team use various products. Sigh...now, if I could only create a paper palm tree:

Crop night last Friday

We are on a mission! If you are not yet following me yet, click here to find out why you should follow this blog and read about my blog challenge.

Were you at our crop last Friday night? If not, here's the great make and take you missed out on! Make and Takes at crops tend to be very simple so nothing really special here, just some cuteness.

The left page was the make and take, while the right page (with the doily) was the coordinating page ($5 extra). I used the paper line Crush by BoBunny, 2 different Martha Stewart punches, the Storybook cart, and Love Struck - a Valentine Limited Edition cart from last year for the doily and "love". For the XOX, first I adhered white cardstock to a cereal box using my Xyron. Then I cut out XOX on my Cricut using Storybook. Next, I put the letters back in the Zyron, white top side to the sticky side; sprinkle Martha Stewart white glitter and shake (glitter not showing well in pic). Finally I ran the letters through the Xyron AGAIN (bottom to sticky), and adhered to the "shadow" cut out of the same letters using the Black and White polka dot (Sugar Dot) paper by BoBunny. The "Love" was cut out at 4 inches and the doily heart at 7.

Ribbon is by May Arts.

On the photo mat under the hearts I clipped the corners at 1/2 inch with my We R corner chompers.

Cuuuuuuuute! And NOT scraplifted from anywhere, lol! If you find anything remotely similar it's a case of great minds think alike.

Everyone had a great time creating, scrappin' and singing along to the dorky CDs I had with me. Thanks to all who showed up! Can't wait to do it again!

CHA - part 6

In case you haven't heard, I'm having a series of blog candy giveaways! If you are not yet following me yet, click here to find out why you should and read about my blog challenge.

Here are more of my CHA show pics and I have LOTS more. Hopefully they will inspire you. These are items made by other artists who support Ranger and Inkssential products :-). I think the art journal is by Wendy Vecchi using new Tim Holtz/Ranger and Inkssential products; Tim expressed a little playful jealousy over her use of the letters and using it as a mask on the cover:
